Virgil Abloh took the Air Max 97 apart and rebuilt it using semi-transparent layers. The wavy panels, which were silver in the original, here allow light to pass through, revealing the shoe's construction underneath. A gradient Swoosh in mint, blue, and purple is the only bold color on the entire pair.

This Air Max 97 belongs to the ten pairs in "The Ten" collection and is one of the hardest to find in a full size run today. The silhouette remains original: the same wavy upper and the same sole shape as in the 1997 version, only the materials and what Abloh wrote on them have changed.
