Deconstructing the Muslin shade 5s

The Air Jordan 5 Retro Off-White "Muslin" is the result of a collaboration with Virgil Abloh and is one of those shoes where the construction is part of the design. The base is toned down: the muslin shade with gray and black accents provides a raw, industrial look, far removed from the classic, high-contrast 5s. The upper is built from textile, translucent materials, showing what is normally hidden beneath the lining. Add to that the signature Off-White cutouts, "AIR" branding, and a zip-tie on the laces—the trademark of the entire series. The effect is light and intentionally unfinished, as if the shoe were shown at a prototype stage.

Size and fit

Available sizes range from 35.5 to 45, with half sizes in the middle range. The upper is textile, not leather, so do not count on the pair breaking in over time the way full-grain leather would—it is worth choosing your size precisely right away. Measure your foot in centimeters and compare it with the size chart. Wear or display

This is a top-tier collector's item, and a large portion of such pairs end up on a shelf rather than on the pavement—the light, textile material is unforgiving when it comes to rain or salt.
