What's behind this colorway

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Rookie of the Year" pays tribute to the start of Michael Jordan's career and his Rookie of the Year award. The upper is crafted from a mix of suede and leather in beige, black, and white, with the design rounded out by hidden details: statistics and a snippet of his acceptance speech scattered across subtle elements of the shoe. This isn't a pair that screams with color; it makes its impact on second glance, once you notice the prints and the matte texture of the suede set against the smooth leather. The construction remains unchanged: high-top silhouette, supportive ankle, and a perforated toe box.

Sizing and fit

We have this variant available in sizes 40 to 47, with half sizes in part of the range, so it is primarily a men's size run. The high-top "ones" fit quite snugly in the midfoot, and it takes a few days for the leather to break in to your foot. If you have a wider foot or are buying as a gift, check the insole length in our size guide instead of relying on sizing from another brand.
