Molded instead of sewn

The Yeezy Foam Runner Onyx is created as a single piece of foam, rather than panels stitched into an upper. There are no laces, tongue, or lining here—you just slip your foot in and go. The Onyx version maintains a single matte black shade across the entire shoe, so the sculpted cutouts and large openings are only visible up close, by their shadow.

The perforations aren't just for decoration. They dissipate heat and water, making the pair just as suitable for city heat as it is for a walk by the water. The foam is also easy to rinse off when it gets dirty.

What it's made of

• Upper and sole: a single EVA foam mold with an algae blend.
• Construction: slip-on, laceless and seamless.
• Bottom: tread molded together with the rest of the shoe.
• Color: matte black throughout the silhouette, with no contrasting accents.

How to choose your size

The Foam Runner is numbered in increments—37, 38, 39, 40.5, 42, 43, 44.5, 46, and 47—because the mold is cast in a few sizes, and one mold covers adjacent sizes. Measure your foot and compare the length in centimeters with the size chart instead of using the size from your lace-up sneakers. The foam does not stretch like knit fabric, so a shoe that is too tight will not break in after a few days.
