The Foam RNNR in the Vermillion version is a shoe molded entirely from EVA foam with an added algae blend. There is no lining, lacing, or glued panels here—the upper, contoured footbed, and sole are one single piece, which is why the entire pair weighs significantly less than a classic leather sneaker. Vermillion is a dense, saturated red that reads differently on matte foam than it does on leather or mesh: it looks like the color of the entire solid mass, rather than a layer applied on top.

Vents that actually work

The large cutouts on the sides and front are not just for decoration, but for ventilation—air passes straight through the shoe, so your foot doesn't get stuffy in the heat like it would in a closed upper. The flip side is obvious: in the rain, water gets inside without resistance, but the foam is easy to rinse and dry because there is nothing in it that could soak up moisture. The model works best worn barefoot or with a thin sock for shorter distances around the city.

How to choose your size

The available sizes are 37, 38, 39, 40.5, 42, 43, 44.5, 46, and 47—the list is incremental, so if your size isn't there, compare the insole length in the size guide and choose the next one. The foam is stiff and contained; it doesn't break in like leather, so it is better to measure your foot in centimeters than to hope the shoe will adjust after a week. A narrow foot will have plenty of room in this model, while a wide one will feel the sides.
