The Nike LD Waffle SF sacai Fragment “Grey” is the most understated release of this construction. The combination of Wolf Grey and white doesn't shout, but with this silhouette, it doesn't have to. The upper is made of mesh, natural leather, and suede, and these three materials are visible to the naked eye: matte suede on the overlays, smooth leather on the panels, and breathable mesh where the foot works the hardest. The double tongues and two sets of laces characteristic of sacai turn a simple running shoe into an object that demands a second look, while the doubled-up Waffle sole elevates the silhouette and adds bulk. Branding is limited to a discreet Fragment Design logo on the midsole.
Fit and sizing
Available sizes are 40, 40.5, 41, 42, 42.5, 43, 44, 44.5, 45, 45.5, and 46. The layered upper makes the shoe feel tighter in the instep than in the midfoot, because the two tongues take up space that isn't there in a regular sneaker. The length is standard, so if you are exactly between sizes, it is usually better to go for the larger one. Measure your foot in centimeters and check the result in the size chart instead of guessing based on another model from the same brand.
