The broken Dunk: what changes in the Disrupt 2

The Nike Dunk Disrupt 2 "Sunrise" takes the classic panel layout of the Dunk and shifts it by a few centimeters. Instead of one Swoosh, the upper features two, layered on top of each other and offset from the seams, while asymmetrical stitching defines new panel boundaries, making the left and right shoes read a bit differently. The colorway stays true to a sunrise: warm orange fades into yellow, with no calming neutrals to hide it. Underneath is a rubber sole, inside is a cushioned insole, and the lacing features extra eyelets, so the upper can be tightened more than on a standard Dunk.

How to choose your size

We have this pair in sizes 36.5, 40, 40.5, and 41, so the range is narrow and it's best to get it right the first time. Dunks have a low, fairly narrow toe box, and the Disrupt 2 adds a thicker layer of panels at the midfoot, so if you have a wide midfoot, it's safer to go half a size up. What to wear them with

Sunrise sets the tone for the outfit, so the rest can take a backseat: simple wide-leg jeans, black cargo pants, or shorts and a white T-shirt. The cut of the upper at the ankle looks best when your pant leg ends above it rather than bunching up on the tongue.
