The Nike Dunk SB Low Polaroid is built around a single idea: an all-black nubuck and leather upper serves as a backdrop for a multi-layered, rainbow-colored Swoosh that references the Polaroid logo. The successive color stripes overlap just like in the original mark, so upon closer inspection, you can see that it’s not a print, but individual layers of material. This is the SB, or skateboarding version: the tongue is thicker, the collar is more heavily padded, and the nubuck is stiffer initially than regular leather. During the first few wears, the shoe feels tighter at the ankle, but then the crease breaks in and the pair settles.
