Nike Air Max 97 OG Silver Bullet (2022)

Silver Bullet, the original, not a new colorway

This is the 2022 reissue of the first Air Max 97 colorway, the one from 1997. The metallic silver upper with wavy panels was inspired by Japanese Shinkansen bullet trains, and the red Swoosh is the only bold accent. The 3M reflective elements light up under streetlights and headlights, making the shoe look unrecognizable after dark.

How they feel

The Air Max 97 features an air cushion along the entire length of the sole, not just under the heel—this was a novelty at the time and remains the main reason why people wear this model all day long. The contoured insole supports the foot, and the rubber sole provides grip on wet pavement. The shoe is heavier than modern running shoes, and that's how it should be: this is a silhouette for the city, not for training.

Sizes and purchase

We have the Silver Bullet in sizes ranging from 35.5 to 45, with prices starting from 1399 PLN. The Air Max 97 runs rather narrow in the forefoot, so if you have wide feet, it's worth going up half a size—you can check the dimensions in our size chart. We verify every pair before shipping, the package leaves within 24 hours, and you have 14 days to return it. You can see part of our offer in person at our partner store, SneakersJoint, in Wrocław at 15 Odrzańska Street. We have gathered other versions of this silhouette in our Nike Air Max 97 shoes collection.
