Dunk Low Winter Solstice

Gradient, embossed rays and a date on the heel

The Dunk Low Winter Solstice is a version of the classic Dunk built around one idea: the shortest day of the year. The suede upper transitions smoothly from warm red to pink, creating a gradient effect instead of the sharp two-tone split typical of this model. Sunburst embossings are stamped on the panels, which are only visible from an angle, and the date 12.21 is embroidered on the heel. The rest of the construction is familiar to anyone who has anything from Dunk Lows in their closet: a foam midsole and a rubber outsole with the classic tread pattern. Prices start at 1499 PLN and depend on the size.

How to choose the size

The range is 36-44 with half sizes. The Dunk Low is narrow in the toes and stiff in the upper for the first few days, but suede breaks in faster than smooth leather, so there is no reason to size up just in case. The exception is a wide foot or a thicker winter sock, in which cases half a size up makes sense. Measure your foot and check the result in the size chart. What to wear them with

Red with pink is a strong accent, so the rest of the outfit should take a backseat: black or gray straight pants, a solid-colored hoodie, or perhaps a hat in the color of the upper. A white or cream sock is best, because a colored one starts to clash with the gradient. This is a shoe for the colder months, when outfits get dark and such a splash of color really works.
