New Balance 550 UNC White Dusk Blue

What is this shoe and what makes it special

The New Balance 550 is a low-top silhouette straight from the 80s hardwood, brought back without smoothing out the original proportions: a thick heel panel, a flat toe, and a large, stitched N on the side. In the White Dusk Blue version, the base is white leather with perforations that let the upper breathe, while the light blue appears as an accent in a shade associated with University of North Carolina colors. The interior is textile-lined, the outsole is rubber, and it features a classic lace-up closure. This pair belongs to the New Balance 550 family, one of the most frequently worn retro basketball models in recent years.

How to choose the size

The 550 has a low profile, and the leather upper shapes to the foot after a few days, so the pair should fit snugly from the start without extra room to grow. This shipment includes half sizes: 36.5, 37.5, 40.5, and 41.5, so there is no need to compromise if your foot falls between sizes. Before choosing, measure your foot length in centimeters and compare it to the size chart instead of carrying over a number from another brand. Some pairs can also be tried on at the partner store SneakersJoint in Wrocław at Odrzańska 15.

What to wear them with

White with cool blue is one of the easiest combinations to wear: it works with straight jeans, wide sweatpants, and shorts, and the blue itself pairs well with navy and gray. If you are looking for another pair with a similar, calm character, browse the entire shelf of New Balance shoes or the wider footwear section.
