Air Jordan 12 Retro Playoff 2022

Black, white, and red accents

The Air Jordan 12 Retro Playoff 2022 marks the return of one of the most recognizable colorways of the 12s. The black leather upper transitions into white lower panels, and the whole look is broken up by red details, led by the Jumpman logo. Silver lace eyelets add a metallic sheen not found in the model's more subdued versions. The construction here is classic: a full-length Zoom Air unit underfoot and a rubber outsole with a carbon fiber plate that stiffens the midfoot. In practice, this means low-profile, responsive cushioning and a foot securely seated in the upper.

Fit and sizing

Like every 12, the Playoff is narrow in the forefoot and has a stiff, high collar, so the first time you put them on, you'll need some patience with the laces. The leather breaks in after a few wears and the shoe begins to mold to the foot. For an average foot, take your standard size; for a wider foot, go up half a size. Sizes for this pair range from 37.5 to 46. Instead of converting sizing from another brand, compare your measured foot length with the size chart.

How to wear them daily

The black and white base makes the Playoff match practically any outfit, and the red can be highlighted by just one element: a cap, a sweatshirt, or socks. They look best with pants that end above the upper, as that reveals the entire color blocking.
