A wave instead of a straight mudguard

The Nike Air Max 1 in the Patta White Grey version belongs to the Patta Waves series and differs from the standard "one" by one clearly visible detail: the mudguard, or the panel around the lower part of the upper, has a wavy shape instead of a straight line. The upper is made of three materials - mesh, leather, and suede - in a muted white and grey color palette with cream accents, so the difference between the panels is primarily visible in the texture, not the color. The Swoosh on the side panel is metallic, and you will find Patta branding on the tongue and insole.

Fit and sizing

The Air Max 1 has a narrow heel and a rather low profile, which makes it fit tighter than newer Nike running models. People with wide feet usually feel more comfortable half a size up, while others should take their standard size. The mesh at the front will stretch slightly after the first few wears, while the suede and leather essentially will not - keep this in mind if you have a high instep. What to wear them with

The white and grey base makes this pair match almost everything, but it looks best when the rest of the outfit is equally subdued, letting the wavy mudguard remain the only accent. The visible Air Max unit in the heel does its job for all-day wear, so this is more of a pair to wear than to keep in a box - the light mesh will gain character over time anyway.
