Description
Fairy-tale symbolism and cinematic nostalgia in the Nike SB Dunk Low "Poppy Field"
The Nike SB Dunk Low "The Wizard of Oz – Poppy Field" is a unique release inspired by one of the most iconic scenes from the classic film The Wizard of Oz. The colorway, based on muted red, an intense poppy shade, as well as green and black, references the mesmerizing field of flowers that the film's characters pass through. The model combines storytelling with streetwear aesthetics, creating a cohesive visual narrative set in a world of illusion and dreams. The layered construction of suede, leather, and textiles builds a complex texture reminiscent of nature's natural abundance.
Limited edition with cinematic universe details and SB technology
The shoe features classic Zoom Air cushioning in the heel and a rubber outsole with a grippy tread, ensuring functionality in line with the requirements of the SB line. A custom tongue with Nike SB x Wizard of Oz branding, embroidered or graphic inserts, and details inspired by the film's characters (e.g., laces or insoles) emphasize the uniqueness of the design. The "Poppy Field" model is announced as a limited edition, likely in a Friends & Family or Special Edition format, which increases its collector value. The anticipated 2024 drop makes this model one of the most awaited items among fans of pop culture, unique design, and sneaker rarities.
