Nike Kobe 5 Protro Year of the Mamba Eggplant

A blend of legend and tradition – Kobe 5 Protro "Year of the Mamba – Eggplant"

Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Year of the Mamba – Eggplant" is a unique basketball release that combines Kobe Bryant's legacy with the symbolism of the Chinese Year of the Dragon. The model fits into the Protro line, offering modern technology under the classic 2010 silhouette. The metallic upper in an Eggplant Purple hue is enriched with a subtle scale texture, reminiscent of dragon skin—a powerful symbol of transformation and strength that perfectly corresponds with the "Mamba Mentality" philosophy.

Functionally, the shoe provides a top-tier playing experience—the Zoom Turbo system in the forefoot and soft Cushlon foam ensure responsiveness and dynamic support. Thanks to its low-top construction and lightweight synthetic materials with a TPU layer, the model is perfectly suited to the needs of the modern player. Gold Sheath branding and details give the design an exclusive feel, highlighting its limited nature. It is both a tribute to one of the greatest athletes in NBA history and a sign of respect for Eastern culture. You can also find other Nike shoes in our store.

Championship-level technology – performance in the Protro version

"Year of the Mamba – Eggplant" offers more than just looks—it is a full-fledged performance model designed for players looking for a low profile, lightness, and lightning-fast response on the court. The colorway and narrative reinforce its collector status, but the core of the model remains the functionality that Kobe himself trusted.
