The Foam Runner in the Desert Sand kids' version is a shoe cast entirely from lightweight EVA foam with the addition of algae. The upper, sides, and sole with a non-slip tread form a single piece – no seams, no lining, no laces. The cut-outs on the surface, besides creating the model's signature pattern, act as ventilation for warmer days. The color is a uniform sand, so dust from the playground is not as visible as it would be on white or black pairs.

The slip-on design makes practical sense here: the child can put on and take off the shoe themselves without asking for help every time they go out. The interior is contoured, so the foot doesn't slide to the sides, and the low weight of the entire construction doesn't tire the leg during a longer walk.

How to choose the right size

The sizing ranges from 18 to 35, covering both first-step shoes and pairs for older kids. There are no laces here to adjust for slack, so the size needs to be more accurate than in classic sneakers – a pair that is too big will slip off the heel with every step. Measure the foot in the evening, when it is at its largest, and convert the centimeters using the size chart, opting for a small allowance rather than a large one.

This is a shoe for the warmer months and casual days: shorts, sweats, a simple t-shirt. The sandy shade goes well with beige, brown, olive, and white, so you don't need to plan an entire outfit around them.
