A gradient instead of a single color

The Knit RNR "Fade Indigo" is made from a single piece of elastic knit fabric that transitions from dark navy at the sole to a lighter blue further up. The effect resembles a material that has been washed hundreds of times, rather than an evenly painted upper. There are no laces, tongue, or overlays: the shoe slides onto the foot like a thick sock and conforms to the instep on its own. The silhouette is oversized with a distinctively shaped toe, and the rubber sole wraps around the base of the upper with a low rim, making the whole piece look like a single molded unit rather than sewn components. The knit is breathable, so the pair can handle a full day of walking around the city.

Sizing without laces

With a slip-on construction, there is nothing to adjust the fit, so you need to get the size right the first time. The material gives in width and will shape itself to your foot over time, but a size that is too big will slip off your heel with every step. The available range is 36-46, including half sizes such as 36 2/3, 39 1/3, 42 2/3, and 45 1/3, which allows for a fit closer to your actual foot length than full sizes alone. Measure your foot in centimeters and compare the result with the size chart, and if you have a high instep, choose the larger of the two sizes you are considering.

How to wear them

The blue gradient behaves like denim: it pairs effortlessly with gray, black, beige, and a white T-shirt without competing for attention. With a wide-leg pant, only the toe is visible, making the silhouette appear taller, while with shorter pants, the full color transition is visible, allowing the rest of the outfit to remain toned down.
