The Yeezy 450 "Utility Black" features the same unconventional design as the rest of the model, only in a full, uniform black - the upper, the jagged sole, and everything else maintain a single tone. In this light, the shape reads differently: instead of contrast, one sees only the sculpture, meaning the deep indentations on the sides and the front part of the sole climbing up onto the toe. The flexible Primeknit upper is seamless and slips onto the foot, without a tongue or classic lacing, with the support built into the knit itself. The EVA foam in the sole is lightweight and provides cushioning despite its aggressive shape, and the knit is breathable, so the pair doesn't run as hot as the color might suggest.

Fit and sizing

The size grid covers seventeen sizes, from 36 to 46 ⅔, in Adidas's third-increments - 36 2/3, 37 ⅓, 38 2/3, 39 1/3, 41 ⅓, 42 ⅔ and so on. The slip-on upper requires a bit of effort the first time you put it on, and this is normal; the knit stretches width-wise, but the insole length remains a rigid constraint, so measure your foot and compare the result with the size chart. With a high instep, expect a tighter start, which eases up after a few wears. Black on the entire silhouette is the easiest to wear of the whole 450 family: it fits into total black, grey tracksuits, and simple jeans without any fuss. There is one condition - the pant leg cannot cover the sole, because then the most recognizable part of this model disappears. A cuff, an elastic hem, or a shorter length will do the trick.
