Adidas Sambae White Collegiate Green Gum

Samba on a platform - what exactly has changed

Sambae is the Samba transferred onto a scaled-up platform: the same low, narrow silhouette of an indoor shoe, just set higher. The upper is made of soft natural leather in a Cloud White shade, the three stripes and heel tab are kept in Collegiate Green, and the whole thing sits on a semi-transparent gum rubber sole. On the side, instead of a regular patch, there is a gold embroidered SAMBAE logo - a detail by which this model is most easily distinguished from the classic flat-sole version.

How they fit and what size to choose

Samba and its derivatives are cut narrow, and the leather upper initially hugs the midfoot tightly and only stretches after a few days of wear. For a normal foot, stick to your size; for a wide foot or when wearing thicker socks, go up half a size. The sizing here runs from 36 to 44 and includes intermediate sizes - 36 2/3, 38 2/3, 40 2/3, 42 2/3 - so it is easier to find the right fit than in a standard half-size grid. You can check the insole length for each size in the size guide.

What to wear them with

The platform raises the ankle by a few centimeters, so the model looks good with wide-leg trousers and cropped pants that don't cover the green heel tab. White with muted green is a neutral combination - it goes well with denim, tracksuits, and simple dresses.
