The full-length GRID® system (TPU + HRC foam) in the heel dampens the initial impact wave, supported by a CMEVA foam midsole that evenly distributes loads from heel to toe. A neutral profile without a medial post allows for natural pronation (drop ≈ 12 mm), and the XT-600 outsole with Blown Rubber segments and flex grooves guarantees reliable traction on asphalt.

The GRID® system is responsible for the characteristic springiness of the early 2000s, absorbing shocks thanks to the TPU cage and HRC foam hidden under the heel. Flexible CMEVA stabilizes the stride without unnecessary stiffness, maintaining the lightness of the entire construction.
