Characteristics of the Nike MAG "Back to the Future" (2016) model
The Nike MAG "Back to the Future" (2016) is a limited re-edition of the iconic model, inspired by the shoes from the film Back to the Future Part II. Created for collectors, this model was produced in approximately 89 pairs, equipped with the automatic Power Laces lacing system. The upper combines Flyknit technology with lightweight synthetic mesh, providing flexibility and a futuristic look consistent with the original film vision. The grey color scheme, enhanced with blue and white accents and subtly incorporated Nike logos on the strap and side panels, faithfully reflects the character of the original.
Innovative solutions and intended use of the model
The application of Power Laces technology, allowing for automatic shoe adjustment to the foot, constitutes a key innovation of the model. The sole with a transparent finish and built-in LED lights in the heel area and sole further enhances the futuristic design effect. The power system, charged via a micro-USB port, allows for multiple uses of the lighting effects. Due to its construction and exclusive nature, the Nike MAG "Back to the Future" (2016) is primarily intended for collector's purposes, and not for everyday use.
