The Nike MAG "Back to the Future" (2016) is a limited-edition reissue of the iconic model inspired by the shoes from the film Back to the Future Part II. Created for collectors, this model was produced in a run of approximately 89 pairs equipped with the Power Laces automatic lacing system. The upper combines Flyknit technology with a lightweight synthetic mesh, providing flexibility and a futuristic look true to the original film vision. The grey colorway, enriched with light blue and white accents and a subtly integrated Nike logo on the strap and side panels, faithfully captures the character of the original.
Innovative features and intended use
The use of Power Laces technology, which allows the shoe to automatically adapt to the foot, is the model's key innovation. The sole, with its translucent finish and built-in LED lights in the heel and sole area, further enhances the effect of the futuristic design. The power system, charged via a micro-USB port, allows for repeated use of the lighting effects. Due to their construction and exclusive nature, the Nike MAG "Back to the Future" (2016) is intended primarily for collecting purposes rather than daily wear.
