Sneaker Shields - Anti-Crease Protector

What it is and what it actually does

Sneaker Shield is an anti-crease insert that is placed in the front part of the shoe. Creases always form in the same place, where the upper bends at the toes, and once a crease is made, it doesn't go away. The insert stiffens this area and helps maintain the original shape of the toe box when the pair is sitting in the closet or traveling in a suitcase. It is incredibly simple to use: insert it before storing your shoes, and remove it before you put them on.

Which of the two sizes to choose

There are two size ranges to choose from: 35-39 and 40-46. Use the size of the shoes you want to protect, not your own perception of whether your foot is narrow or wide. If you have pairs from both ranges at home, it is fine to have one insert for each, as you don't need to move them around daily. You can check your shoe size in the size guide.

Which pairs is it worth using for

The biggest difference is visible with smooth, light-colored leather, where every fold casts a shadow and immediately makes the pair look older. With suede and mesh, the effect is less spectacular, but the toe box still keeps its line longer. 50 PLN is not much compared to the cost of the shoe that this insert is meant to save, especially if the pair comes out of the closet only occasionally and spends most of its life in a box.
