What is the Fear of God Essentials line

Essentials is an everyday line from the American brand Fear of God. Jerry Lorenzo launched it so that the style known from the main collection wouldn't be limited by a price tag of several thousand zlotys. Instead of large prints, you get simple silhouettes, heavy jersey, and a rubberized logo in one place - on the chest, on the back, or on the leg.

The palette sticks to earthy tones: Light Oatmeal, Dark Oatmeal, Stretch Limo, Desert Taupe, Iron, Off Black. That is why a single piece fits into the wardrobe you already have, and does not require building outfits around it. Successive seasons differ mainly in the shade and finish of the logo, not in the cut itself.

Essentials Hoodies

Hoodies and crewnecks in an oversize fit, with a dropped shoulder and wide ribbed cuffs. Essentials Pants and Shorts

Essentials T-shirts

A jersey tee with a boxy cut, with a small logo on the front or a print on the back. It is easiest to start with these, because a t-shirt is cheaper than a hoodie or a set - the entire selection is in the Essentials t-shirts category.

How to choose an Essentials size

The entire line is sewn oversized, and this is a conscious decision by the brand, not a sizing error. This is most visible in hoodies, much more subtle in pants - there the size is based on the waist circumference, and the drawstring with a cord gives a lot of room for adjustment.

The dimensions of each model in centimeters are in the size chart. Comparing these numbers with clothes you already wear is more reliable than guessing by the letter on the label.
