Lanvin shoes are sneakers from the oldest French fashion house still in operation, founded in 1889. The most recognisable of them is the Curb - the silhouette that built the brand's presence in streetwear.

Curb combines elements that normally rule each other out: a layered upper built from contrasting materials (full-grain leather, suede, technical mesh), exaggeratedly long laces running through external loops, and a chunky, sculpted sole with an irregular profile. Everything is made in Italy, and each layer of the upper is finished separately - hence the signature contrasting edges.

How Lanvin fits

Curb has a wide, flat sole and plenty of room in the toe box. With an average foot, stay with your usual EU size; with a narrow one, consider going half a size down, as the shoe doesn't lock the midfoot as tightly as classic sports sneakers.

How to wear it

The chunky sole balances a wider leg well - Curb looks best with straight-cut trousers covering part of the upper. It's a shoe that works as the accent on its own, so keep the rest of the outfit calm.
